Pompous Twit Takes It Upon Himself to Declare Dickens a Racist by Defacing Museum

In case you haven't noticed yet, the world has gone mad.

Now, some self-righteous lunatic has taken it upon his holier-than-thou self to declare Charles Dickens a racist by proudly posing for pictures while defacing the Dickens museum in Broadstairs, Kent. The jackass even posted the pictures to his own blog and said that he expects to be contacted by the police. Here's hoping they contact him via nightstick.

"A former councillor has admitted to targeting a museum dedicated to beloved 19th century author Charles Dickens after being inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

Ian Driver scrawled  'Dickens Racist, Dickens Racist,' on the outside of the The Dickens House Museum in Broadstairs, Kent, and attempted to black-out the lettering on a street sign for nearby Dickens Road.

The carer wore a denim jacket and cream shorts as he took to the streets in the dead of night on Saturday to campaign against what he claims is 'institutionalised racism' in the seaside town."

One of the self-incriminating photos posted by the genius on his blog

The only question I'm left with is one regarding a word in the last paragraph I quoted above. Is "carer" a synonym for "twit," or not? Has to be.

  1. Yes, the world has finally gone mad. What an idiot. Does no one have any common sense any more? I'm afraid the fact that he was a councillor probably says it all.

    1. I can't figure out how these people are justifying so much destruction in their own minds. They are either complete simpletons or they are anarchists who want to destroy the world as we know it so that they can create a whole new system.

If you see something in the British papers about him being charged or arrested for vandalism, I'd appreciate you letting me know. But I doubt anything much is done to him.

  2. Agreed. I'm stunned daily by the behavior of some individuals.

    1. This particular fool seems to be in it for the personal publicity he can create for himself. His blog is almost enough evidence to either have him committed to a mental facility or locked up in jail for his crimes.

  3. The world has indeed gone crazy. Certainly there are better ways to channel anger and frustration than with destruction and defacement.

    1. The extremists among the protestors have hurt whatever the original cause may have been. I get the feeling that the general public has had just about enough of this now.

These guys don't seem to understand the word "context" at all. Saying that Dickens was anti-Indian really says nothing when you consider that most Brits of his day were probably anti-Indian. And that if this guy had been alive in those days, he probably would have felt the same.

      It's just silly now.
