Truman Capote's Aunt: "The Fruitcake Lady"

This wonderful lady passed away at age 95 several years ago but, for a while, she was a semi-regular on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

There seemed to be almost no filter between her brain and her mouth - what she thought, she said.  Now the really interesting thing is that she was Truman Capote's aunt and she was partly responsible for raising him.  Watch this clip from the Tonight Show and you will see that Truman's outrageous public persona ran deep in the family genes.  He came by it naturally.
