Christmas Jars
Christmas Jars is a little book with a big message about the Christmas season. In an age when Christmas gift giving has become more of an expensive routine than a heartfelt pleasure for many people, Jason Wright offers an alternative that recaptures the spirit of the season.

Hi! So thrilled you enjoyed the book and gave it such a thorough treatment on your blog. Have you started a jar of your own yet? :-)
ReplyDeleteSomeone contacted me via my blog and is sending me a copy of this book! I'm really looking forward to getting it. I love reading a good Christmas book this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Jason. Haven't started my jar for this year because it's a little late...but planning to start one early next year and looking forward to the year end experience of handing it off.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, this is one of those "throwback" stories that are perfect for the Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteEven better! A whole year and you'll amass quite a sum of money. Keep me posted on how that goes!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to do that, Jason. I told a friend about the concept at lunch today and he was intrigued by the idea. We're trying to figure out the practical way to choose someone to receive the jars...trying to decide if a little research is best or if it would be better left to a spur of the moment decision based on sheer chance. Both methods have their appeal.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, but we already have one! We put any money found in a wine jug and it sits until we need some quarters. :D Never really thought of giving it to someone b/c of the small amount.

Now you know what to do with it, Maggie...I'm hoping to get into the habit starting in January to see what happens.
