Are You Ready for Some Football? (Week 3)
With Houston's best receiver, Andre Johnson, missing the game due to injuries, I really didn't expect that the Texans would win this game against the Super Bowl champ Colts. Then, when our best running back left the game at the beginning of the second quarter with a knee injury, any chances of winning were realistically gone. But there were some great moments, like this return of the opening kickoff for a touchdown that put the Texans in a temporary lead of 7-0. So, despite me being under the weather myself today and not being able to attend the game, this turned out to be another fun football Sunday. Final Score: Colts -30, Texans -24.
Sorry you're not feeling well. :( I didn't see the game, but I was surprised by the closeness of the score... sounds like it was a good game, regardless of the score.
ReplyDeleteAs for my team... well, let's not talk about that travesty.
Hope you feel better soon.
Because of you I have been paying attention to the Texans scores, can't watch the games though because they don't show them where I live. :) Pretty close game by the look of the score anyway, tough break on the running back, I'm assuming that was Ahman Green...
ReplyDeleteSeahawks won the game with a touchdown in the last minute, nice to turn it around from last week.
They played very hard, Annie, and actually had a chance to win it at the end of the game so, considering all the injuries, I'm really proud of this team's effort against the Colts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, too, about my illness...I'm feeling a lot better today but had a pretty rough night. I'm starting to wonder if I had a case of food poisoning...possibly some bad pizza while helping my daughter move into a hew home on Saturday.
It's kind of frustrating to me, Matt, how the country is divided in a way that certain teams never get on the air in parts of the country. I suppose it's all about time zones, though, since we don't see much of the West Coast teams down here unless they are the Sunday night game or on Monday Night Football.
ReplyDeleteGreen is the running back who is out with a knee injury, and it sounds pretty serious. If the Texans can't run the ball close to 30 times a game, their chances of winning go way down.
We even had one players, Ced Killings, who went down with a neck injury that had him temporarily paralyzed. He may have left the hospital as of this morning but I wonder if he will ever be allowed to play the game again. If I were him, I wouldn't chance it.
