Even more disturbing to me than the Nook area of the store is the 3 or 4 aisles of toys and puzzles that my store now carries.Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01739982274914536036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-70754920230575177512012-05-16T23:02:17.371-05:002012-05-16T23:02:17.371-05:00Mine still has quite a few comfy chairs -- knock o...Mine still has quite a few comfy chairs -- knock on wood. And the choices were always significantly more limited than any alternative stores. It really doesn't surprise me that they've turned even colder, and to be honest, I'm not that upsetMeytal Radzinskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15805413335735169073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-37962401206581111182012-05-15T15:55:38.093-05:002012-05-15T15:55:38.093-05:00Thanks, Ms. Factotum. She gets the second eye done on Thursday morning and then, with a little time to let the swelling go down and for her eye muscles to strenghten and she should be good to go. I'm starting to envy her a bit, to be honest. :-)Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-58346605108554997872012-05-15T15:54:37.277-05:002012-05-15T15:54:37.277-05:00Let's hope, Library Girl, that libraries don&#...Let's hope, Library Girl, that libraries don't blindly follow B&N's lead on this one because their current management doesn't seem to have a clue when it comes to luring and keeping customers inside the store. Since my browsing time has now been sliced bigtime, that means fewer sales to me - and I don't own a damned Nook, so they sure as heck won't be making up the sales that way.

I went back last night because I had to Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-14691574805688310782012-05-15T11:01:00.201-05:002012-05-15T11:01:00.201-05:00I'm glad the surgery was successful!I'm glad the surgery was successful!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-89216031911980418952012-05-14T22:35:07.220-05:002012-05-14T22:35:07.220-05:00Oh dear. This sends shivers up my spine thinking about the library world, because, you see, the library world has long been jealous of the way people seemed to glom onto BN and other big bookstores' way of doing business. That's why more libraries started including coffee shops and putting in comfortable seating where people could sit and look through their books and drink their coffees (A Library Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144279685884011943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-45501294008553060382012-05-14T20:13:41.577-05:002012-05-14T20:13:41.577-05:00I know you're in Texas while I'm in Colora...I know you're in Texas while I'm in Colorado but it seems you were shopping in "my" B&N.
