In a way, it's a shame that the other books in the series are not about this length, too, because sometimes Farmer tended to get to involved in the fighting instead of moving the plot forward. I don't know why, suspect there were none of his books in Penzance library in the 1960s so he passed me by. This book sounds amazing so will look it up and see if I can find a copy.
