I have an American edition of the book that was published in 2001. It's been with me for a few years and I still haven't read the stories...gotta fix that oversight.Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-23987000734475344302008-01-17T20:34:00.000-06:002008-01-17T20:34:00.000-06:00Heather, this has definitely made me want to read ...Heather, this has definitely made me want to read more of Rendell's short stories, something I plan to do as soon as I can work them in. It is a UK edition (don't remember it being published here--maybe under another title). I don't remember the title exactly, but it has Piranha in it. I will have to pull it out. It should be no surprise her stories are asDaniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06415242678720695754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38656633.post-68017649157668900862008-01-15T10:01:00.000-06:002008-01-15T10:01:00.000-06:00Rendell specializes in building very believable ch...Rendell specializes in building very believable characters, not all of them very likable or mentally healthy

I love writers who can do this well!

I can't claim to have seen this one coming, but a quick scan of the story's earlier pages convinces me that I probably should have.
