It's Kindle vs. iPad

Those of you considering the purchase of an e-book reader might want to take a look at this short comparison of the Apple iPad to the Amazon Kindle.  The video impresses me as a fair representation of the strengths and weaknesses of both devices.  I have had an iPad since July of last year and I am loving it more every week, it seems.  In my opinion, it's no contest even with the substantial difference in price because the iPad is capable of doing so many things so well.  I have the basic version that, with accessories, cost me about $575.  I like the idea of having a multi-purpose device instead of yet another single-use gadget, but that's just me.  Take a look; I hope this helps a bit if you're on the fence.

  1. Good post considering I'm about to do a Kindle and an iPad release.

  2. I agree with you, I would much rather spend a little bit more and get a multi-purpose device instead of something that can only be used for one thing! However, I can't afford either so I guess it really doesn't make much difference! :)

By the way, I'm not sure if you're into this kind of thing but I got the Stylish Blogger award from a friend and I chose you as one of the ones I wanted to pass it on to. If you would like to bother with it just stop by my blog for the details. I won't be offended in any way if you don't want to. Regardless, you're a great blogger and I enjoy your posts! :)

  3. Great video!

I have really been thinking about getting the iPad, since I got my iPhone I find that I don't use the computer near as much. Also, my Nook has been "in the shop" (the screen burnt out) for about 3 weeks now. I have been using my phone and have no problem with it.

Now I really want an iPad.

  5. I will definitely buy an iPad at some point but will wait for the prices to drop which I know they will. For now I am making due with my Kindle which seems to be okay since I do enjoy reading on it when I am traveling.

  6. Apple products just never seems to drop at the rate that other similar products drop for some reason. I still use my Sony reader despite owning an iPad because the Kindle is smaller and ligher, making it easier to handle in certain circumstances.
