Bits and Pieces

Are E-Books Greener Than Books? The New York Times wonders what the trade-off is between saving trees and the creation of even more electronic devices filled with toxic materials.

CBS has just signed on for a sitcom pilot set in the publishing world. Sound good? I would love to see a smart new comedy on one of the major networks...happens way too seldom these days.

Owner of Truman Capote book autographed to Harry Potter is asking $1000 for it... Heh. I wonder if J.K. Rowling will want to bid on it.

2nd Most Often Left Behind Book in British hotels? Would you believe it's Obama's Dreams from My Father? Well, at least his book is selling in the kind of numbers that let it make this kind of list.

New Jersey mom feels nostalgic because her kids have outgrown picture books - "You don't want to know how dinosaurs say good night anymore?"

The first picture book arrives on iPhone - perfect for all those toddlers who have been wondering what to do with their little iPhones.

The Indextrious Reader on Penelope Lively...

Jen is sharing more of her six-word memoirs including thoughts, this time, from Dennis Lehane and Theresa Schwegel. Damn, why didn't I think of this. Love 'em, Jen.
